Pennies for Patients

We begin our annual Pennies for Patients campaign on Friday Feb.1 and it runs through until Friday February 15. The Pennies for Patients campaign is sponsored through the KY and Southern Indiana chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma society. The money raised helps bring awareness and support for families in KY and Southern Indiana who have a child or another family member with Leukemia and/or any other blood born cancers. The slogan for the campaign is " we can CHANGE the world". By bringing in "change" we help raise money and awareness to this cause. We, GMS NJAHS, are taking it a bit further. We are adding another slogan that we feel fits this time of year- Have a Heart. We will be selling handmade Valentine cards, handmade pins, magnets, scarves and hats as a way to help raise money. Each homeroom will battle for change. The homeroom that collects the most money by the 15th will receive a pizza or ice cream party. Lets let the battle for change begin...
