Beanies for Babies at St.Jude

Our beanies (hats) for babies campaign for St.Jude has somewhat slowed down. We began making beanies for children at St.Jude in November and several were made and brought in by students. However since Christmas break we have only received 2 beanies to add to the collection. Remember that you get service points for each beanie that you make. You will also get service points for bringing in yarn and/or Ziploc bags. The beanies must be placed in Ziploc bags to prevent allergens or other contaminants from getting on the fibers of the hats. The children that are getting chemo have extra sensitive immune systems and allergens, pet dander, etc... can be harmful to them.We currently have approx. 20 hats for babies, infants, children and a few for older children. Remember, this is an ongoing campaign. There is no deadline for making the hats.
